RESEARCH CENTRE
The Medical Imaging Research Centre (MIRC) is an interdisciplinary Research Center in Dr. SACOE. The Focus lies on fundamental and translational research in the area of Medical Imaging and Image Processing. Research Foundation involves in developing state of art Medical Image and Data Processing. The scientists are developing new techniques for Acquisition, Processing and Analysis of Medical Images. It is a collaborative research lab of Edison Hospital, Tiruchendur, India, B. G. Hospital, Tiruchendur, India. Dr. Mohan’s Diabetic Research Foundation, Chennai, India involves in developing the State of Arts Medical Image and Data Processing. This Research center is a joint International Research Collaborator of Kingston University, London, UK, an Academic Collaborator with the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and University of Cincinnati, Ohio. This Research center focuses on the Technological Developments in Biomedical Imaging . MIRC researchers are developing new Imaging Modalities and the new Techniques for Acquisition, Processing and Analysis of Medical Images. |

Electronics and Communication Engineering
To contribute to the global growth The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1999, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai with the approval of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Our Institution is recognized as in-house R&D by Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Government of India. Since its commencement, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality technical education to the students through Technical hands on training, Workshops and Seminar organized by Department associations, ISTE faculty chapter and IEEE Student chapter.
The Department of ECE is recognized by Anna University as a Research Centre to offer PhD Program. The Department provides a platform for research in emerging areas like VLSI, ULSI, NOC, SOC, Wireless Communications, Wireless Networks, Optical and Microwave, Signal Processing, Image Processing, Video Processing, RF and Antenna Design, Microelectronics and nanotechnology through its Research Centre and deliberates the latest technologies through its research publications.
The department is proud of the quality, need-based and practical education imparted to our scholars which aids to face the challenges of the fast changing corporate and technical world. The Department has qualified and experienced faculty members with expertise in VLSI, Wireless Networks, Optical and Microwave, Wireless Communication, Embedded Systems, Applied Electronics, Communication System and Computer and Communication.
The research laboratory is exclusively equipped with major hardware and software tools like OTDR Kit, Advanced Microstrip Trainer Kit, Antenna Training System & Antenna with Stepper Motor Controller, and LD Source at wavelength Model IF RL 30, 2.7 GHz Spectrum Analyzer with TG, Logic Analyzer, CADENCE, ANSOFT HFSS Bundle Software Chipscope Pro, Lab View and Altera Quartus and many other advanced tools to pursue their research work.
To keep in pace with the current technological advancements, in addition to the Anna University UG and PG curriculum additional tutorials, tech-talks, workshops are frequently held so that the end user gets a feel of what exactly is happening outside in the tech-world. The department has library, e-journal with wi-fi facilitating the academic and dream work of our researcher.
