The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 1995. Department of Chemistry is located in the first floor of the Basic Science Block. This department has a well established chemistry laboratory for the benefit of first year B.E/ B.Tech students.

This department has a well established chemistry laboratory for the benefit of first year B.E/ B.Tech students.This laboratory has important instruments like pH-meter, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Turbidity Meter, Conductivity Meter, Potentiometer, Flame photometer, TDS meter, Hot Air-Oven, Distilled Water Plant, Digital Chemical Balance, etc…. The final year students using this laboratory for their Project work.It provide strong foundation in Chemistry which in turn serves as a baseline for all Engineering streams.

 Consultancy : The department of Chemistry undertakes testing of water to ascertain its suitability for drinking purposes, construction purposes & industrial purposes.

Library : The department Library has lot of books for the benefit of students and staff. The Department has organized several conferences and workshops as extension activities.

DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

 Department of English and Communication Skills Laboratory are situated in the ECE block.  The Communication Skills Laboratory is computerized, state–of–the–art lab which caters to the language demands and soft skill requirements of the students.  It hones the listening, reading and speaking skills of the learners and offers ample lessons and activities to master the art of communication in English.

Career-oriented training regarding Presentations, Interviews and Group Discussions and live-recorded video samples enhance the performance of the users in interviews and there by paves way to placement in much-desired avenues of technology.  This Laboratory is a platform for the young engineers to whet their knowledge and gain a successful career.

The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1995, which is located in the administrative block. It serves to provide a strong foundation in Mathematics and its applications in engineering at undergraduate and post graduate level and Management studies.

The department of Mathematics has highly qualified, dedicated and sincere faculty members. The faculties of Mathematics play a vital role in building students’ confidence and fear-free problem solving capability.

We provide beginners with bridge courses to become acquainted with the preliminaries of mathematics and the techniques to use and train them in problem solving and mathematical reasoning. Intensive coaching is being given to the slow learners. 

Our department is maintaining a separate library for the benefit of students. It consists of lot of books and reference materials. Students utilize the books, which are available in our Library.

Department of Physics has wide workspace to accommodate 60 students at a time. Dark room is available to conduct optical experiments. The facilities at this laboratory are Constant temperature bath, Electronic digital balances, Magnetic stirrer with hot plate, Band gap determination setup, Ultrasonic interferometer & Semiconductor Diode LASER. Department fulfills the knowledge of Physics and Material Science to all first year students and  acts as a launching pad for their technological career. The department has five well skilled and devoted faculty members in the thrust areas of Material Science, Crystal Growth, Nanoscience and NLO materials.

The Department of Tamil was established in the year 2022, which is located in the administrative block. It teaches Heritage of Tamils, Tamils and Technology papers for undergraduate first year Engineering Students.
