VISION

The goal of the Alumni forum is to enable Alumni to remain connected with Dr.SACOE in order to promote stronger connections, and to provide opportunities for dialogue, knowledge sharing, voluntary service, social interaction and philanthropy

 MISSION

To foster a strong alumni network that enables the former students to maintain regular touch among them and to provide an avenue to build philanthropic spirit to become successful alumni. To provide a platform for sharing intellectual, cultural, career and professional experiences with the present students as well as with the alumni.

 ORIGIN OF ALUMNI ERA

Alumni forum of Dr. SACOE functions since 1999. Since its inception, the Alumni forum undertakes various kinds of activities to foster not only relationship with all Alumni but also to later. It focuses on the needs of all Stakeholders such as Students, Parents, and the Institution. It acts as a platform, to continuously engage with each other, to deliberate and discuss the trends and changes taking in the fields of Engineering, Technology and Science. It helps to update the Alumni, the Students and the other Stakeholders the needs of the Industry and the World. Our Alumni as brand Ambassadors brought laurels to the Institution. It recognizes the achievements of Alumni in various fora in India and Abroad. It is a vibrant body promoted to nourish and nurture the knowledge, skills and talents of everyone having connectivity with the body.

ACTIVITIES

• A State level Quiz competition “Sivanthi Quiz Cup” is conducted every year for school students studying X, XI, XII. Winner of I prize will be awarded a Rolling trophy & a cash prize of Rs. 5,000. Winners of II & III prizes are rewarded with cash prize Rs. 4,000/- & Rs. 3,000/- respectively.
• Every year, Alumni Souvenir is released for the benefit of future communications and memories.
• 50% alumni are placed in well reputed companies & are also acting as the backbone for placement.
• Nearly 10% of the alumni visit the college frequently & share their experiences & impart guidance to their juniors.
• Organising Alumni Induction Program and Alumni Meet.

• Guest Lecture on “How to prepare for the Job” was delivered by our Alumni Mr, A.Athipan, Senior Associate, CS Internet , Sutherland Global Services, Chennai (2020-MBA) on 16.12.2022 to our MBA Department Students.
• A State level Quiz Programme, Sivanthi Quiz Cup 2022 was conducted for School students on 14.11.2022, and the Chief guest  was our Alumni Mrs.Suganya Balaji, Cuemath teacher India, US (CSE-2013)
• Alumni Souvenir was released on 10.11.2022
• Guest Lecture on “Business Acumen” was delivered by our Alumni Mr. N.Kapil Subramanian, Area Business Manager, Pantaloons (2011-MBA) on 04.11.2022  to our MBA Department Students.
• An awareness program namely Job opportunity in Foreign and Entrepreneurship was conducted  by Our Alumni Mr. P.Chellaperumal (2022-MECH), Program Developer , TCS, Chennai on 28.10.2022  to our Mechanical Department Students.
• Our Alumni Mr.S.Peer Syed Hussain (ECE, 2019), Doodleblue Innovation Private Limited Chennai Conducted Cyber security awareness and Job career guidance Program to our ECE Department students on 26.10.2022.
• Guest Lecture “Focus on your Career” was delivered  by our Alumni Mr.Shahjahan (2003-EEE) on 26.10.2022 to our EEE Department Students.
• Webinar on “Piling -Onshore and Offshore” was conducted by our Alumni, Mr.L.Ramasamy (Civil, 2009), Construction Manager, TATA Consulting Engineers on 15.10.2022 to Our Civil Department Students.
• Guest lecture on “Financial Services” was delivered  by our Alumni Mr, A.Esakkimuthu, Financial Service Manager, ICICI Bank (2019-MBA) and Mr.A.Chandrakanthan, Assistant Manager, Kotak Securities, Thoothukudi , (2019-MBA) on 08.10.2022 to our MBA Department Students.
• An Awareness Program on IETS (International English Language Testing System) was conducted by our Alumni Ms. S.Chellammal Suvetha, HR AND Operations Manager (2022-MBA) and Ms.M.Dharshna, Marketing and Sales Manager, AXEL Academy, Thoothukudi (2022-MBA) on 29.09.2022 to our MBA Department Students.
• An Awareness Program on IELTS (International English Language Testing System) was conducted by Our Alumni Ms. S.Chellammal Suvetha, HR AND Operations Manager (2022-MBA) and Ms.M.Dharshna, Marketing and Sales Manager, AXEL Academy, Thoothukudi (2022-MBA) on 28.09.2022 to our MBA Department Students.
• Guest Lecture entitled “What is Next after B.E?” was delivered by our Alumni Mr, Sankar Ganesh (2019-EEE) on 17.08.2022 to our EEE Department Students.

• On 07.09.2021 , Webinar on “Personality Development” was conducted by  Our Alumni, Mr.Sibi Krishna (MBA), Assistant Manager,            Standard Charted Global Business Service, Chennai.

• 18^th Sivanthi Quiz Cup for School Students was conducted at Our College premises on 14.11.2019
• On 28.12.2019, Alumni of Electronics and Communication Engineering 2006-2009 batch visited our college campus and spent the whole day. They cherished the day with their sweet moments in their old class room with their batch mates.
• From our Alumni Association, Alumni Souvenir was released for the batch of 2019 on 01.08.2019.

• 15^th Alumni meet was conducted at our college premises on 05.05.2018 at 11.30 A.M in Auditorium. The Alumni shared their experiences on their life after college and discussed many things regarding the openings for engineering graduates at MNC’s and other Sectors.

• From our Alumni Association, Alumni Souvenir was released for the batch of 2018 on 07.08.2018

Alumni Activities for the Academic Year 2017-2018

• On 16.05.2017, 16 Alumni of Civil 2003-2007 batch visited our college campus and spent the whole day. They cherished the day with their sweet moments in their old class room with their batch mates.

• 14^th Alumni meet was conducted at our college premises on 24.06.2017 at 11.30 A.M in Auditorium. 120 Alumni participated in this event. The Alumni shared their experiences on their life after college and discussed many things regarding the openings for engineering graduates at MNC’s and other Sectors.

• From our Alumni Association, Alumni Souvenir was released for the batch of 2017 on 05.08.2017.

• Alumni get-together was conducted on 23^rd December 2017 (Saturday).It was a grand reunion of Our (1997-2001) Batch. Mr.Balaji Seshadri Business Head, Bajaj Finserv Ltd, Pune coordinated with great enthusiasm.
